Mentors and coaches visit weekly to meet with individuals and small groups enrolled in the BPB program. They support participants by sharing their personal experiences and perspectives, helping them envision new possibilities. Mentors assist individuals in starting their reentry planning, setting goals, and developing the life skills needed to achieve them. BPB offers the training required to help mentors understand the criminal justice system and effectively guide participants through their journey.

BPB Floyd is a Non-Profit Organization

Finding a place to live and getting the support needed to maintain safe and secure housing within the community is crucial to successful reentry from prison. Without stable housing, individuals have a much harder time accessing employment, substance abuse treatment, other support services, and making or restoring connections with community resources and positive social networks. Parolees or probationers who are homeless are at a much higher risk of violating conditions of community supervision, and unstable housing is associated with an increased risk of re-arrest. The first month after release is a particularly vulnerable period. The risk of becoming homeless, committing new offenses, violating conditions of release, or relapsing into substance abuse is high.

BPB Floyd provides individuals a safe, structured, supervised environment and related benefits to male reentry citizens' immediately upon release from incarceration. Our program is staffed 24/7 and is a sober living environment. Random drug testing is done on-site.

The program's mission is to help participants recognize the consequences of the use of alcohol or drugs and modify behaviors to avoid future alcohol and drug-related problems and save lives.
